Parking Downtown is Easy!
Whatever your downtown destination, a parking
space is readily available. One and two hour meters are located
close to retail establishments, most with a free 30 minutes for
those quick trips!
City parking
lots are marked with bright blue and white signs.
A number of public lots are available around the
city. You will find public lots behind the businesses on Front
Street downtown. Larger lots are on the north side, between
Grandview Parkway and Front Street. Smaller lots are found along
the alleys south of Front Street, between Front and State
Streets. There are also parallel public parking spaces along
most of the streets downtown.
The Larry C. Hardy Parking Deck on
State Street offers 540 parking spaces with free parking after 5
p.m. on weekdays and all day Saturday and Sunday.
Enter by following the large signs
between Park and Boardman on Front Street (adjacent to the WTCM
Radio Center) or State Street (adjacent to the Park Place
Hotel). Parking is $1 for the first 2 hours, and 40 cents
per hour thereafter, or up to 10 hours for $4. BATA buses will
run every 20 minutes between the Parking Deck and the heart of
Festival activities, Open Space at Garland Street. Parking Deck
hours will be extended past the normal 10 p.m. closing time
during the Festival.
Parking for shoppers is located just steps
away from stores.
